The President elect of Catalonia, Artur Mas paid a visit on Sandro Rosell ahead of tonight’s game and then watched the match from his usual seat in the stadium.
Sr Mas’ centre right nationalist party CIU won Sunday’s elections for the Catalan Parliament and accompanied by his wife, he dropped in on the Directors Box before the game to meet the Club President .
Mas: “we are here to enjoy ourselves”
Artur Mas spoke to Barca TV before the match and explained: “we are here tonight to enjoy ourselves. I had a good time yesterday and I hope to have another good time tonight• Sr Mas predicted a 3-1 win for Barça and explained: “I won the sweepstake for the elections and I’ve gone for a 3-1 win tonight with Xavi, Pedro and Messi scoring”. The President elect went on: “there are two styles coming up against each other: one based on the cheque book and more provocative and the other based on a youth scheme. But this isn’t the same Madrid as in the past and we have to be careful”.

As well as the two Presidents, the Directors Box was also visited by the outgoing Catalan President José Montilla, the President of the Catalan Parliament Ernest Benach, The Mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, Catalan vice president Josep-Lluís Carod-Rovira, The President of the Audiencia Nacional, Angel Juanes Peces and Secretary of Sport in the Catalan government Anna Pruna.
