Victory and second place (0-2)

Roger Bogunyà

It was a tale of two Jonathan's for FC Barcelona in their second Copa Catalunya game on Wednesday evening as Dos Santos and Soriano both scored to give the side victory over Hospitalet, but Espanyol had already secured the trophy for themselves.
The Blaugrana coaching staff chose to completely change the starting team for the second game of an evening that saw Barça participate in the triangular event. Before playing Hospitalet over 45 minutes, the team were beaten by Espanyol in a match that also lasted three quarters of an hour. In the late kick off Barça's B players took to the field and were highly motivated despite the fact that the Blanc i Blau's double triumph in the opening two contests ensured that they took home the pot.

Early goals
Against Hospitalet in cold conditions Barça started well and scored two early goals. The first came after just four minutes when they netted with the first chance of the evening through Dos Santos. Three minutes later and Cristian Tello set up Soriano and the contest was effectively over.

Barça domination
After the two goals Barça dominated the rest of the game and were able to calmly produce some entertaining football. Jordi Masip was called into action in the 35th minute to make a save to maintain the Blaugrana's two-goal lead.
